Interview with attitude
Always go to the interview with the attitude that you want to elicit an offer from the firm. We often hear from firms that they did not ask an associate back or extend an offer because they felt the associate lacked interest or enthusiasm in the practice or the firm. Although you may have some misgivings, leave your uncertainty at home. There will be plenty of time to question a firm once the offer is made. Rememberyou must have the offer before you can decline it.
Demonstrate enthusiasm
It is important to demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm. Firms are looking for associates who are motivated, responsive, communicative and passionate about their work. Engage each interviewer in conversation and remember to maintain eye contact.
